4PLAY is a Jacksonville Classic Rock and Roll Music mainstay that has been a rock-n-roll force in town for over 35 years. A band to listen to, dance with and party on! In 2013 we celebrated the 30th anniversary of the original start to the band. Original member, Hal Hollingsworth, has been the one & only bass player in the band. The other members of the band include Michael Bennick on lead guitar, only the second lead guitarist for the band, 'DJ'-David Jax on drums and Vicki Bost Hollingsworth on lead vocals. Hal, Michael and Vicki have been playing music together in 4PLAY since early 1989. (in April 2024 we celebrated 35 years of rocking together)
With Hal's steady back beat on the bass and rich vocal presence on lead vocals, his leadership in the band keeps everyone in sync and on the beat.
Add to that, the intricate musicianship and versatile guitar styling of Michael Bennick. Michael has been teaching many up and coming guitarists in the beaches and Ponte Vedra area since 1973. He continues to be in demand around town and plays with many other local bands.
On lead vocals and directing the party-time atmosphere is Vicki Bost Hollingsworth. Vicki uses her background as an entertaining disc jockey to keep the crowd entertained and ready to have some good clean fun! It's always party time when Vicki is out in the crowd with her wireless microphone getting the crowd up singing and dancing.
The newest member to the band, drummer 'DJ'-David Jax is not unknown to the other members of the band. DJ is a long time friend of the band, sat in with the band many many times over the years and is a favorite drummer to many other bands in Jacksonville and 4PLAY considers 'DJ' a great addition to the band. And just to add our newest member has been playing drums with us for over 17 years. This is a happy meeting of four good friends & musicians.
